Cybermarine, a leading engineering firm specializing in marine infrastructure, designed and introduced the H-Barge (H Shaped Barge) to the maritime industry. This unique vessel, measuring 65 meters in length, 55 meters in breadth, and 6 meters in depth, was specifically created to support the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link project. Its primary purpose was to facilitate the efficient erection of 2,000-ton SEA BRIDGE GIRDERS at a remarkable height of 30 meters. The H-Barge’s design and capabilities allowed for precise girder placement and safe operations within the challenging marine environment.
In 2022, after meticulous construction, the H-Barge was delivered, marking a significant milestone for Cybermarine. The successful completion of this ambitious project showcased the company’s expertise in designing and executing cutting-edge marine infrastructure solutions. Following its delivery, the H-Barge was acquired by the DAEWOO-TATA Joint Venture, a partnership between Daewoo Engineering & Construction and Tata Projects Limited.
Under the ownership and operation of the DAEWOO-TATA JV, the H-Barge played a crucial role in the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link project. This monumental infrastructure undertaking aimed to connect Mumbai with its satellite city, Navi Mumbai, and required the installation of thousands of sea bridge girders. The H-Barge’s advanced engineering features, stability, maneuverability, and load-bearing capabilities made it the perfect vessel for precise girder placement at a height of 30 meters. The collaboration between Cybermarine, the DAEWOO-TATA JV, and other stakeholders in this ambitious endeavor showcased the power of innovation and teamwork in realizing groundbreaking infrastructure developments, and the H-Barge’s contributions will be remembered as a testament to human ingenuity and engineering excellence.
